What is flat-rate pricing? Unlike
"time and material" charging, flat-rate pricing allows us to give
you an upfront price (like a quote) for any repairs that need to be
made to your equipment. Our technician will show you the price
in our flat-rate book and at that time, you have the choice to
proceed with the repairs or not. Whether our technician is there for
1 hour or 4, the price is the same. We work until the repair
is complete and your equipment is up and running again without any
hidden charges or overages.
?
What is a duct inspection (and why is it
important)? Did you know that air lost through leaks in your
ductwork can account for anywhere between a 10% and 38% loss in
operating efficiency and capacity? Scary, but true! If you suspect a
problem with your duct system, let us check it out for you. Our
technician will visually inspect the accessible ductwork under your
home and in your attic for leaks and duct integrity.

Repair or replace?
Obviously there are no
guarantees when it comes to the life span of mechanical equipment.
However, with information and regular maintenance, it is possible to
make an investment in a new home comfort system proactively and
conveniently.
Regular maintenance checks - like the ones included in our Service
Agreements - keep you (and us) up-to-date on your equipment. Then,
if your comfort level starts dropping or we start noticing wear and
tear taking its toll on the efficiency of your equipment, you can
think about replacing prior to complete system failure - especially
if your system is already more than 10 years old or if you've
remodeled your home without adjusting your HVAC system accordingly.
By choosing to invest in a new comfort system on your schedule,
you’ll have the added convenience of finding the right company with
the right equipment and financing for your needs. Plus, you can
avoid having your family (or renters) wait for days without heat or
cooling during extreme weather conditions ... which also happens to
be the busiest time to schedule a system replacement!

In
addition to American General pre-approved financing, we can offer a
variety of solutions to your financial quandaries, including the two
programs detailed below. Call
or e-mail one of our Comfort
Advisors for more information!
In response to Delawareans’ concerns
regarding the rising cost of electricity, our state is offering
grants for Energy Star® and GAMA rated appliances: the Delaware
Energy An$wers Program. For example, purchasing a 15.0 cubic
feet or larger refrigerator or a front-loading washer entitles you
to $100. But the grant we (of course) like most is the $350 you can
receive for 15 SEER or higher rated central air conditioning with a
programmable thermostat!
We have also been approved to offer EnergyLoan from AFC First, a
Fannie Mae approved energy loan lender. It has preferential interest
rates for most types of improvements to the energy efficiency of
your home, including improvements to your windows, awnings, lighting
and, of course, your heating and air conditioning system.
